Corporate Overview
NanoArk Corporation was incorporated in July 2007 as a Delaware "C" Corporation with its worldwide headquarters located at Rochester, New York, USA. Its mission statement is to provide customers with cost‐effective, robust, and readily accessible information archival and storage for textual records and drawings. NanoArk has expanded from two employees to ten employees in the last ten months. Recently NanoArk opened its second facility in Hyderabad, India to support the archiving and preservation opportunities in developing Asian countries. The NanoArk India office is located at #71, 2nd Main Road, Nanjappa Layout, Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore - 560097, India.
NanoArk Corporation capitalizes on its patent‐pending capability to enable long‐term preservation of records as images on silicon wafers or other reliable substrates using advanced imaging and semiconductor fabrication techniques. The marketed storage medium is environmentally robust, information technology independent (both hardware and software) and has the ability to store data at high densities in such a way that it is visible to the human eye with magnification. Independent testing agencies have certified that the life expectancy of this medium is 500 years. As a result, the archiving solution provided is an ideal candidate for long‐term preservation of documents with distinct advantages over current digitized data, microfilm, and microfiche archiving processes. Current technologies such as microfiche or microfilm suffer from a major drawback in fast searching and retrieval. The Waferfiche™ technology has embedded flash memory with USB interface for instantaneous search and retrieval. Most archival collections contain millions of documents, and the Waferfiche™ technology provides the perfect solution for management of electronic search and retrieval of massive amounts of archived data, by means of the ideal marriage of traditional optical archival and state‐of‐the‐art electronic storage. Some of the potential markets of this technology include legal records, building and zoning records, real estate, building management, utilities, education, banking, medical, archival documents, and historic manuscripts.
