A standard USB interface and embedded software allows customers to quickly review and retrieve images from the Waferfiche™. The interface provides access to our easy‐to‐use NanoArk software for the PC or MAC platforms (see below), which is embedded on each Waferfiche™, to search, review and retrieve images. Alternatively, customers are free to use their own software to access the images and metadata on the Waferfiche™. (Digital versions of the images are stored in PNG format, and metadata is in an XML file.)

If warranted, the disaster recovery service provided by NanoArk can retrieve the images that are permanently archived on the Waferfiche™ media. Alternately, the customer can choose to retrieve the images themselves using an off‐the‐shelf high‐resolution camera or microscope. High-end customers who would like to be self-sufficient can avail of the option to buy a high-speed retrieval system from NanoArk.
